Comfy in maxi

At home I'm a sweatpants or jeans & loose t-shirts kinda girl. What a great find for me this blue & white maxidress that's just as comfortable as sweatpants but a lot more feminine.

This time though I didn't need to be running around all the time (hence normally the sweatpants) as the kid was mesmerized with bubbles.

It's a miracle that he stays put for more than two minutes. And it's a miracle that I'm wearing a dress.

Good times

It's always nice to have friends over for some dining & wining.

BBQ pork ribs my style. Cover with minced garlic and spice mix (garlic, paprika and chili powders and salt). Cook in a 150 C degree oven for 6 hours. Slather with BBQ sauce and place in hot grill for 10-15 minutes until practically charred.

Chives that grows in our garden has gone wild and I'm adding it to every dish. Here with butter and EVVO and on the grilled corn and toast.

Funny how eating BBQ ribs can make you feel dead tired the next day. It may also be caused by staying up until 2 am.

Summer child

We hope that our son learns to live an active, healthy life and love outdoors. So far so good.

His favourite thing is climbing and he's always up for some fresh air and outdoor activities.

We don't dress him in designer labels so it doesn't matter if you can see the day's explorations (and lunch) on his t-shirt.

D I Y : concrete leaf stepping stones

There are gazillion examples and instructions for these over the internet.

We made stepping stones out of concrete using rhubarb leaves as molds.

Leftover concrete was used to create a few flower pots. All are placed by the garden gate.

Quite rustic, but I love them. Cost: 3 euros and the trouble. My kind of decorating.

Chrysanthemums are in full bloom.

 Little fellow is enjoying summer to the fullest. Warm weather and casual eating outs in the garden.

I've only recently grown to like gardening. Lavender and ivy are latest additions to the flower bed.

Best thing to wear for gardening are stretchy jeans.

It's summer holiday and we spent last weekend at a lakeside summer house. A little rustic but lovely.

Our two-year-old moves at such speed that his shoes don't always keep up. At bedtime you find them in oddest places.
